Chief Insights & Innovation

Digital transformation isn’t just about technology—it’s about embracing change.

Just as the Jedi see the Force as more than a set of powers, true leaders recognise that digital transformation is a fundamental shift in thinking, not just a tech overhaul.

Meet Alex Taylor, a leader in human-centric HR innovation, blending cutting-edge technology with strategies that foster meaningful connections and enhance employee experiences. As Chief Innovation and Insights at ZestHR, Alex drives initiatives like integrating immersive technologies to create workplaces where people thrive and innovation flourishes.

Highlights

Alex delivers progressive solutions tailored to every client’s unique needs. Some examples of these include:

  • Leading the HR digital transformation for a client in the Defence industry, implementing systems for both payroll and HR to streamline processes and align with organisational goals.
  • Taking on the technical lead role for an HRIS implementation for a national maritime group to drive efficiency and employee experience.
  • Driving payroll system enhancements for an employer in the Education industry, which involved partnering with the team to understand challenges and barriers, assessing their structural needs, developing robust payroll processes, and building team capability to sustain high performance.
  • Managing the scoping, investigation, and selection of an HRIS system for a medical research institute, followed by a six-month partnership to implement and integrate the system into their operations.

As a people technology leader, Alex has been invited to speak at the Australian HR Institute’s WA conference in 2024 and 2025 and at the WA HR Leaders Summit 2024. What gets Alex out of bed in the morning? Making things better. She’s proud of her track record in streamlining HR processes, from workforce planning models to pay frameworks.
