MISSION GOALS

We’re rolling up our sleeves to back the Stephen Michael Foundation team and leaders as they level up their leadership game. We’re diving into HR processes and gearing up this dynamo non-profit to unleash its full potential through its people to support it’s growth strategy.

THE SOLUTION

We got right into the heart of things, working side by side with the team for a couple of days each week both on and off-site over six months. We began with a comprehensive people audit, which we transformed into a detailed people plan, highlighting key areas to support SMF’s growth strategy.

And the outcome? By being a consistent presence within the team, we not only realigned their people priorities but also strengthened the leadership’s commitment to employee engagement, development, and support. We integrated so seamlessly into their team that our initial six-month engagement was extended to a full year. We’re thrilled to continue collaborating with the foundation, helping to refine their policies, procedures, and employee initiatives while working shoulder to shoulder with their leaders on-site.

Leadership Engagement with Change

The leadership team’s openness to adapt, embrace change, and take on feedback and advice has made working with them an absolute pleasure. Change management is challenging at the best of times, but having a team so committed to transformation, coupled with their trust in ZestHR, has proven to be a winning formula.

Performance Review Creation

As the team refined their values and competency framework, it was fantastic to develop a performance review process, communications, and supporting materials for the leaders to use to close out 2024 with a bang. Feedback is the fuel of champions, and working on this initiative to bridge the gap was incredibly exciting. It empowered the leaders to have productive and impactful conversations with their employees.
