Keiki Early Learning

Digital Learning Optimisation

What they said.

Daniel was a delight to work with. He gave our team the confidence and reassurance to explore the ELMO system. It has been a pleasure to partner with Zest. I hope our paths cross again in the future.

The Need

Keiki Early Learning is a family-owned and operated group of childcare centres based in Perth, Western Australia, with a strong focus on providing high-quality care and education and creating positive experiences for both children and employees.

As part of a broader HRIS implementation, Keiki wanted to ensure their people could access important policies and workplace information in a more engaging and effective way. The organisation recognised the opportunity to move beyond traditional policy documents by creating interactive online learning modules.

Like many growing businesses, the team was focused on delivering exceptional childcare services and did not have the capacity or specialist learning design expertise required to build the content from scratch. Through their HRIS provider, Keiki was introduced to Zest to support the final stage of their implementation journey.

The Solution

Zest partnered with Keiki to transform a suite of existing workplace policies into engaging online learning modules within their new HRIS environment.

This included:

  • Leveraged expertise in learning and development, instructional design and HR technology.
  • Took the lead on the build process, minimising demand on the Keiki team.
  • Delivered a streamlined project approach from kick-off through to launch.
  • Enabled Keiki to stay focused on day-to-day operations while reviewing key milestones.

Highlights

  • Transformation of traditional policies into interactive online learning modules.
  • Seamless integration within Keiki’s new HRIS platform.
  • Efficient, low-touch delivery model.
  • Strong, collaborative partnership throughout the project.

Challenges

  • Limited internal capacity to design and build learning content.
  • Need for specialist expertise in instructional design and HRIS functionality.
  • Balancing project delivery with ongoing operational demands.
  • Ensuring a smooth and efficient implementation with minimal input required.

Wins

  • Launched multiple online learning modules aligned to critical workplace policies.
  • Created a more engaging and interactive learning experience for employees.
  • Completed the project with minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Reduced internal workload associated with developing online learning content.
  • Maximised the value of their HRIS investment by fully utilising learning capabilities.

The project successfully completed the final phase of Keiki’s HRIS implementation, providing employees with a single system for accessing workplace information and learning and development resources.

Most importantly, the Keiki team was able to stay focused on what matters most: delivering exceptional care and education to the children and families they support. The result was a smooth, efficient project that felt less like a vendor engagement and more like an extension of the Keiki team.
