Payroll System Support
The client first engaged Zest for one week of payroll system support and issue diagnosis following the launch of a new platform. What began as a short engagement quickly evolved into a six-week payroll and HR system optimisation project, followed by a two-week payroll mapping extension to further streamline departmental processes.
We began with a comprehensive system audit to identify the gaps and opportunities for improvement. The payroll system was reconfigured to support multiple entities and ensure accurate STP lodgements. Leave allowance templates were reviewed, restructured and reassigned to enable correct accruals and seamless future updates. Multiple rule sets were assessed and rebuilt to reflect current business operations and the chart of accounts was reconfigured to meet finance department requirements. Our team supported pay run processing, resolving in excess of 200 issues and developed and documented over 80 payroll and HR procedures. Finally, we delivered a detailed recommendations report to further streamline payroll and HR processes.
STP Lodgement
The payroll system backend setup was reconfigured to allow for multiple entity pay runs and correct STP lodgement, resulting in a positive impact on compliance, reporting and the finance department.
Rule Set Rebuild
Multiple award and Enterprise Agreement rule sets were rebuilt to accurately reflect Ngala’s operations, resolving mismatched rules and allowances and transforming a previously inconsistent process into a smooth and reliable one.
Project Management
Multiple leave allowance templates were reconfigured and reassigned for correct accruals, strengthening compliance and easing the leave application process.
